ABOUT GOLD STANDARD

Hi, I’m Logan.

Gold Standard Handyman is my business, but I think it matters that customers know the person they’re inviting into their home, not just the name on the truck.

Logan and family together in Fort Morgan, Alabama

I’ve been building and fixing things for a long time.

I’ve spent roughly 20 years working in construction and remodeling. Over the years I’ve worked on everything from everyday repairs and finish work to larger remodeling projects, and that experience eventually became Gold Standard Handyman.

I started the business around a simple idea: do quality work, be straightforward with people and give homeowners a practical option when they need something repaired, installed or improved without turning every job into a giant construction project.

Gold Standard may use some pretty modern technology behind the scenes, including Bob, my AI project assistant, but the work in your home is still personal. I’m still the person who reviews the project, makes the field decisions and does the work.

The people behind Gold Standard

I’m a husband and a dad. My wife, Jennifer, and our daughters, Sarah and Katie, are a huge part of my life. Like most families, we’ve got plenty going on, and they’re also the people who get a front-row seat to whatever project I’ve decided to tackle next.

Gold Standard really is a family operation. Jennifer, Sarah and Katie have all pitched in and helped me on customer projects over the years. They’ve worked alongside me on jobs, helped build things and put up with the fact that I’m usually fixing or building something even when I’m supposed to be off the clock.

I like making things, too.

Building doesn’t really stop when the workday ends. I enjoy woodworking, making things for my own shop and home, and experimenting with my laser engraver. Sometimes I’m building something because I need it. Sometimes I just want to see if I can make it.

And yes, there’s a four-legged crew too.

Our house also includes Daisy and Bear on the dog side, plus Benny, Marley and Finn representing the cats. If you’ve ever tried to complete a home project with pets supervising, you already know how helpful this crew can be.

Hannah and Gypsy, forever part of the family.

Hannah and Gypsy aren’t with us anymore, but they’ll always be part of our family’s story.

Why that matters to Gold Standard

I know what it’s like to have a never-ending list of things that need attention around a house. I also know that homeowners don’t always need a big contractor, a sales pitch or an oversized solution. Sometimes you need somebody experienced who will look at the actual problem, explain the options and figure out a practical way forward.

That’s the kind of business I’m building: professional enough to take the work seriously, personal enough that you know who you’re dealing with, and organized enough that your project doesn’t disappear into a pile of phone calls and notes.

Now you know a little about me. What are you working on?

Tell Bob about your project, send a few photos if they’re helpful, and we’ll figure out the next step.
